The question of "Why is there something rather than nothing?" is one I ask a lot. I ask myself this in moments of doubt and I gently ask my atheist friends after an appropriate time of friendly listening. Stephen Hawking did not convince me we could get a free lunch - certainly not an entire universe (because there is gravity is not an answer). I do not know the Krauss argument but I am pretty sure it would not convince me either.
